Are we underestimating the importance of sleep?
Parents - We cannot overemphasize the importance of sleep. Good quality and good quantity SLEEP! There are so many benefits to individuals getting adequate sleep. Students who have built a healthy habit of sleep not only feel better but are better able to regulate their emotions and overcome frustration or struggles easier. Higher academic performance, better peer relationships, having the ability to fight off illness, overcoming difficulties, mood lifts and general improvement in navigating life all come from people getting adequate sleep. This is a gentle reminder to parents to please be mindful of the importance of sleep for your children. Helping your child build this healthy habit is one of the most important skills you can do for your child’s success and happiness.
