SCHOLAR OF THE WEEK
Drake Janssen, Senior
Drake Janssen truly deserves to be the Scholar of the Week, and I am so glad to have him in my class! He works hard, is always sweet, and is curious about the material we are studying. I also truly appreciate Drake's willingness to help his classmates when they need it. This last week I witnessed the absolute best peer teaching. We were learning how to count back change, and this skill was definitely new for most students. Drake caught on very quickly, and then worked extremely hard to turn his classmates into experts as well. He came up with different scenarios, used the board, demonstrated, and then used our "money kit" to test his peers' skills. It was awesome to watch him teach! He also works as a mentor at the elementary school and is driven in the path that he wants to pursue after high school. I am so proud of you, Drake!

BADGER OF THE WEEK
Hayden Larabee, Senior, One-Act
I am thrilled to nominate Hayden Larabee as our Badger of the Week. Hayden joined us this year in one-act, and we are so glad that he did! Not only does he bring immense talent to the group, I most admire his teamwork, leadership, and commitment. He gives every practice his best, and from the beginning, has worked really hard to improve by asking questions and putting in additional work. His role of Francis Nurse is particularly challenging because Francis is a round character with dynamic and changing emotions throughout the play. His hard work paid off in Gothenburg when he was recognized as an Outstanding Actor for the day. This honor was truly deserved! You are awesome, Hayden!
