~ VHS Student Announcements ~

Date: April 28th, 2025

• Lunch for today is: White Mac & Cheese w/breadstick, Toasted Combo Sub, Uncrustable/Cheese, Cheeseburger Basket

• HS Spring Concert @VCS Auditorium on Monday at 7:00PM.

• JV Golf @ Thedford on Monday at 10:00AM. Students will depart at 8:00AM.

• State Journalism on Monday. Students will depart Sunday.  

• FFA Banquet at the Fairgrounds on Tuesday at 6:00PM.

• HS Track Athletes will be dismissed @ noon on Tuesday, April 29th to assist with the MS Track Meet.  IF you have an athlete that needs to be in class due to being behind/late classwork, please let Blake know.

• The Teammates mentors and mentees will be having their end of the year gathering on Wednesday April 30 @ 8:15 at Valentine Middle School.  There will be a short chance to meet with your mentor for a chat and a donut to get your Wednesday started off right! 

High School Mentees - there will be transportation from VHS to VMS when school starts so PLEASE do not drive to VMS but just go to the high school at the start of the day as unusual and meet in the commons for your ride to the middle school.

• Varsity Golf @ Bassett at 12:00PM on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 9:45AM. 

• Track @ Norfolk at 4:00PM on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. 

• Varsity Golf @ Broken Bow at 9:30AM on Friday. Bus will depart at 6:30AM.

• JV Golf @ Mullen at 2:00PM on Friday. Bus will depart at 11:30AM. 

• Track @ Ogallala at 11:00AM on Saturday. Bus will depart at 6:00AM. 

• If you have submitted your application for journalism or broadcasting you need to sign up for a creating session. The sign up is located outside of Mrs Arganbright’s room. 

• Yearbooks are now on sale.  Scan one of the flyers hanging around the school to order yours today.  Yearbook orders are due by 5/30.

• Badger Booster Sports Award Ceremony will be May 4th at 6:00 in the auditorium. All athletes, parents, coaches, and fans are encouraged to attend.

• Sophomores - Make sure you get your money for the Split the Pot fundraiser to Mrs. Shelbourn this week. Students not selling tickets will have their name added to the fines and dues list next week.

• The Student Council will be having their annual talent show on Tuesday May 6th at 6:30 PM. Anyone is welcome to participate. Registrations can be picked up at any VCS School, KVSH, or Valentines City Library. All proceeds will benefit Mrs. Springer with medical expenses.  

• Current NHS Members, there is a mandatory meeting Tuesday morning @ 7:45 regarding the induction ceremony in Mrs. Adam’s room
