~ VHS Student Announcements ~

Date: February 13th, 2025

  • Lunch for today is: Loaded Hash Browns w/biscuit, Sloppy Joe, Uncrustable/Cheese, Spicy Chicken Sandwich Basket

  • Student led Bible Study will be in the commons on Friday at 7:30AM. 

  • If you are interested in learning country dance, please sign up during lunch. These are free lessons to anyone who’d like to learn. They are in the evening, dates are on the sign up sheet. Talk to Rylie Sexson for more information. 

  • BB - JV/Varsity Girls/Boys @ Home at 4:00PM on Thursday. Students will dismiss at 3:00PM. 

  • Dance/Cheer Senior Night @ BB on Thursday. 

  • Any Junior Girl interested in Girls State, please stop by the office for information. 

  • Any Junior Boy interested in Boys state, please stop by the office for information. 

  • Out of Town prom date forms are in the office for those who have dates that don’t go to VHS. They can be picked up in the office and are due on Monday, March 24. 

  • FFA - Bull Bash Livestock Judging @ Sale Barn at 9:00AM on Friday. Students will depart at 8:00AM. 

  • Wrestling- Boys Districts @ Kearney Catholic at 9:00AM on Saturday. Students will depart on Friday at 5:30PM. 

  • Speech @ North Platte at 7:45AM on Saturday. Bus will depart at 5:00AM

  • Seniors who have earned any college credit through independent study or outside of school hours, please bring their unofficial transcripts to Mr. Cronin. 

  • FFA Bull Bash Tear Down - 7:30AM on Saturday. 

  • Seniors in order to be on the prom king and queen ballot your fines and dues must be paid.   The ballot will be going out next week.

  • All Senior NHS members need to get their community service hours turned into Mrs. Adams by March 21st to be considered for the NHS scholarship.  Junior NHS members have until April 21st to get their hours turned in.

  • Reminder that the library is closed to students this week while Jacque is gone.

  • Mr. Jensen's Badger Den is collecting pop tabs for the rest of the school year to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. This charity helps provide lodging and meals for families who have children in the hospital. Please take the pop tab off of your aluminum cans before recycling or throwing away the can. Collection boxes can be found in Mr. Jensen's room, in the teacher's lounge, or on the tall tables in the commons. It may be small, but it helps make a big difference in the lives of those going through challenging times.
