 ~ VHS Student Announcements ~

Date, January 27th, 2025

  • Lunch for today is: Chicken Ranch Pasta w/roll, French Toast sticks w/eggs, Cheeseburger basket, Uncrustable/Cheese

  • BB- Reserve Girls/Boys @ Home on Monday at 6:30PM.

  • FBLA meeting and supper in Cardinal’s Room on Monday at 6:00PM. 

  • UNK Honor Choir on Monday. Students departed on Sunday.

  • BB- Varsity Girls @ Gothenburg on Tuesday at 6:00PM. Students will dismiss at 2:15PM.

  • BB- Varsity Boys @ Cozad on Tuesday at 6:00PM. Students will dismiss at 2:00PM. 

  • FFA - CDE #1 @ North Platte on Wednesday at 8:00AM. Bus will depart at 6:00AM. 

  • Best of the West @ Chadron on Wednesday. Bus will depart at 7:00AM. 

  • Students who are taking dual credit classes and haven’t paid the VCS Foundation, please do so. If you don’t know if you have paid or what you owe, please see Mr. Cronin. As of now 47 of 70 students haven’t paid. 

  • Seniors who have earned any college credit through independent study or outside of school hours, please bring their unofficial transcripts to Mr. Cronin. 

  • 2025 Coronation "Game Night" will be held on Sunday, February 2nd, at 5:30 PM, with a dance for VHS 9th-12th and dates to follow from 7:00 - 10:00 PM.  Tickets are $3 for K-12 students and $7 for adults. Students who purchase a ticket AND ATTEND the ceremony will get into the dance with proof of purchase; the dance is $5 for singles and $8 for couples. 

  • Mrs. Stoeger’s Badger Pause is raising money for Valentines for Vets.  Each card mailed requires a $1 in postage.  Each building is being challenged to collect during the month of January.  If you would like to donate, money will be collected in the office.

  • Leo Brinda Unit #90 American Legion Auxiliary is hosting its annual Valentines for Veterans drive.  Valentines should be no larger than 8.5 x 11" and are due by 5:00 pm on Feb. 3.  Drop boxes are at KVSH, Valentine Public Library or the Extension Office.  This is a great way for individuals or student groups to complete community service hours!  

  • Shipment of the Freshmen class fundraiser has been delayed.  So Freshmen will pick up their candy next week instead.

  • Juniors: If you chose to do the fundraiser or pay dues, those are to be in by Feb 3rd to a class officer.  Names will go on the fines/dues list in February.  Talk to Mrs. Buechle if you have questions or need an extension. 

  • Reminder to all coronation participants that there will be a practice at 1:00 PM on Sunday February 2nd. The better everyone listens and cooperates the faster you get done.  HS:  There will be a dance from approximately 7-10 PM following the coronation ceremony. It is for VHS students and their dates. $5/ single or $8 couple. One way door.
