~ VHS Student Announcements ~

Date, November 5th, 2024 

  • Lunch for today is: Taco in a bag, Crispy chicken sandwich, Spicy chicken sandwich, Uncrustable/Cheese

  • There will be a girls basketball meeting after school today in Mr. Bish’s classroom.

  • Interact Blood Drive on Wednesday from 8:00AM-3:45PM in the multipurpose room. 

  • Mock Trial @ Cherry County Courthouse on Wednesday at 10:00AM. Students will dismiss after 2nd period. 

  • For all students needing volunteer/community service hours for scholarships, there is an opportunity coming up on Saturday, Nov. 9th.  The Sandhills Area Foundation is looking for individuals to help during their annual fundraiser.  If interested, please contact Carolyn Petersen at 402-389-1224 or see Mrs. Adams if you need more information.

  • The Student Council, FBLA, and FFA are hosting their annual canned food drive for the Holiday Baskets. The drive will run from November 4 to December 13th. A list of basket items is in your Badger Den. Remember, the Den with the most points wins! Along with the food drive, the Student Council has a giving tree. Please bring hats and gloves that will be donated to those in need. A tree in the school (location TBA) will be where you can add your items. This will also run from November 5 - December 13. 

  • If any student would like to earn some community service hours and is available Saturday, November 9th, 6:00-8:30 PM, please see Mrs. Arganbright. 

  • There will be a wrestling meeting right after school on Thursday in Mr Nelson’s room for anyone wanting to wrestle this year.

  • Football gear check in and Fundraising money/paper check in will be Thursday after school. Anyone planning to wrestle needs to go to the wrestling meeting and check in gear after the meeting.

  • Congratulations to JoJo Jordan, Rylie Sexson, and Marybell Ward on being chosen by the NSAA to sing the National Anthem at a state event!  They were chosen from over 285 applicants and their trio will sing at State Bowling in February.  We are so proud of you for this accomplishment!

  • Juniors and seniors who signed up to go to NCTA in Curtis on Monday, November 11th, the bus will depart at 6:30 am and we should return around 3:45 pm.  Lunch will be provided at the college.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Manning.
