 ~ VHS Student Announcements ~

Date, September 16th, 2024

  • Lunch for today is: Goulash, Popcorn Chicken, Crispy Chicken Sandwich or Uncrustable/Cheese Platter

  • Applications for Write the River which will be Monday, Sept. 23 are in the office.

  • Mrs. Arganbright has 3 softcover yearbooks for sale ($50). 

  • Sophomores: If you are interested in ordering a class ring through Josten's, please stop by and pick up a ring packet from Mrs. Shelbourn.

  • National Honor Society has the concession stand for the football game on Sept. 20th.  Members please come sign up to work a shift as this money goes for the NHS scholarship awarded in the spring.

  • Juniors and seniors that signed up for the Northeast Community College campus visit tomorrow, the bus will depart at 6 am and return around 3:30 pm.  Lunch will be provided at the college.  Please wear good walking shoes as we will do a lot of walking and dress for the weather.

  • If you would like to be a part of interact, which is a community service program through the Rotary, there will be a meeting on 9/25 @ MidPlains - 8:00pm.  If you have any questions, reach out to Jojo or Doc.

  • The BIONIC Team (Believe It or Not I Care) will be having their first meeting today at 7 pm in the Commons.  If you have any interest in being a part of this group, please come join us for dessert and find out more about our team, it will be short and SWEET!

  • Girls golf is at North Platte today and Gothenburg tomorrow

  • FCA Huddle will begin on Tuesday, September 17 during lunch in the boardroom. Get your lunch, take your tray down if you want to be involved. 

  • JV football is at Winner tonight.  Students dismiss at 1:45pm

  • There is an FBLA meeting at 6pm tonight in Cardinal’s room

  • FFA Range judging will be at Holt County on Thursday 9/19.  The bus will depart at 6:30am

  • Teammates mentors and mentees... you are invited to Tailgate/Kickoff party on September 20 @ 6:00 at the VHS parking lot. Please talk to your mentor and plan to attend together! There will be snacks, drinks, games and free admission to the game.  There will also be a short Teammates recognition at half time.
