  • 8th graders, today is the last day to register for your freshmen classes. Mrs. Manning (VHS Guidance Counselor) will be here today to help you. Please let the office know if you need to sign up and we will get you an appointment with Mrs. Manning.

  • VMS Golfers will tee off at Fredrick’s Peak tomorrow at 12:30pm. Team will be dismissed by the office at 10:45am and load the bus at 11am. Dominate Badger Golfers!!!

  • 8th graders will bus over to VHS on Wednesday for a freshmen orientation at 1:45pm. 8th graders, you will be dismissed FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL.

  • VES 4th graders will be visiting VMS on Wednesday to take a look at the building and receive a short orientation. They will be arriving at 2:30pm, please be respectful, kind and helpful!

  • No School on Friday for the Valentine Track Invite. Track meet beings at 10am. Run, throw, jump strong Badgers! Remember: RECORDS WERE MEANT TO BE BROKEN! 💪

  • Results from the 2024 Poppy Poster Contest are below. First through third place in each age group was selected by local Veterans and the public had a chance to vote in the "People's Choice Awards" on April 27. The first place poster in each group has advanced to the State level. Thank you to all the teachers who encouraged their students to participate! There were 162 posters submitted.

    • Class 1 (Grades 2 & 3): 1st - Kwynn Graham, Simeon School; 2nd - Harper Ferris, VES; 3rd - Tylinn Kills the Enemy, VES; People's Choice - Spencer Beebout VES

  • The Niobrara Council is hosting Summer Day Camps this summer. 4th-5th graders will be June 17th-18th with an overnight camp sleepover at the Valentine City Park. 6th-8th graders will be June 23rd-25th with a 2 night camp sleepover at the Long Pine State Rec Area! Registration is FREE is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration closes on May 13th - information forms can be picked up in the office!

  • The Niobrara National Scenic River is hosting several events over the summer including fishing clinics, Junior Ranger classes and Night Sky observations! The office has flyers for more information!
